Denton Reserve – a stunning Georgian mansion wedding venue in Yorkshire’s Wharfedale

Denton Reserve is a classic mansion house in the stunning rolling hills of Wharfedale in the North Yorkshire countryside.

Denton Hall was previously the head office for NG Bailey, and only available for Saturday weddings, but has since undergone an amazing transformation into Denton Reserve, with exclusive use of the newly restored magnificent Georgian mansion!

There are lovely rooms for the wedding preparations during the morning before the ceremony.

The local church in Denton – St. Helen’s – is just a few minutes walk from the venue and can be used a traditional ceremony or you can use one of the on-site civil ceremony rooms.

It’s a beautiful church inside and out and you can choose to throw confetti outside the church or outside Denton Hall, depending on where the ceremony is.

Outside the hall is a lovely place to host the wedding reception, overlooking Otley Chevin and the Yorkshire Dales countryside.  You sometimes even see the deer they have there, hanging out by the lake!

I like to keep the group shots and portraits relaxed, fun and quick, so they don’t eat into reception time to enjoy the canapes, fizz and company of the guests!

Couples were previously able to enjoy their wedding breakfast with up to 100 guests or in a a marquee on the lawn to up the numbers.

The spiral hallway was always an amazing place to cut the cake under a shower of confetti, before the first dance, and everyone hitting the dancefloor for the evening knees up!
