Unions come in all shapes and sizes and I’m a Yorkshire wedding photographer that specialising in shooting unions in all the wonderful colours of the rainbow!
I’ve shot a good few gay and lesbian weddings and not only am I LGBTQ affirming, but I love the variety and non-conformity that naturally flow through these celebrations!
I love to capture the details and elements just as I would at any other wedding, and often the breaks in tradition (such as getting ready together) offer new and exciting photographic opportunities!
For me, one of the key elements I strive for photographing any wedding is not to make a couple just look like friends, so it’s really helpful to do a round of practice portraits ahead of the wedding to get used to the process.
Then it makes the big day a breeze!
The couple can then focus on lovely moments like the confetti bomb from this gay wedding at Yorebridge house!
