Yesterday I joined Cat + Luke for their fun-filled, Springy wedding photos at Goldsborough Hall, a fab stately home wedding venue between Harrogate & Knaresborough in Yorkshire!
After setting the scene around a daffodil strewn around Goldsborough Hall, I joined Cat and team bride and a bottle of Krug in the lovely ‘Lascelles Suite’ (which sports an awesome sunken panoramic bath overlooking the grounds AND its very own private cinema with a 150″ cinema screen!). After an hour or so I joined Luke and his chaps suiting up in the library. He’d told his groomsmen they could wear a blue suit and whatever they liked, so as Luke is a die hard Aston Villa fan, two of them chose their Birmingham City ties and pins!
It was as lovely as ever to see Cat’s dad tear up walking in and seeing her ready to rock in her wedding dress. It was also lovely seeing their kids involved too, with their little boy in the family kilt and their daughter bearing the rings during the ceremony.
This whole wedding was put together in record time, and many of their creative guests pitched in, with Cat’s pal Rachel doing the tartan stationary, a guest Jane making the cake and Cat and her mum doing all their own flowers, full of thistly nods to Bonny Scotland!
We landed so lucky with the weather, as we managed to congratulate, throw confetti, power through the groups and get a few relaxed portraits before a biblical spring storm struck! Reception nibbles and beers, a delicious pork roast dinner and some amusingly emotional speeches later, it was time to piled on for 4 hours of boogying! (Plus a few epic flash in the rain shots!)
This was one of those weddings where it was such a pleasure to see a couple, who’ve been together for almost 9 years, truly enjoy every moment and really have a blast in the company of their near and dear. They’re just such fun to be around!
