On Saturday I joined Meg + Sam for their wonderful wedding photos at Sandburn Hall Golf Club near York!
Set in a picturesque 1000 acre golf course on the edge of York, wedding photography at Sandburn Hall is always great!
I joined Meg in Sandburn Hall’s airy bridal suite while my wingman Tim Atkinson joined Sam and their York home for morning shenanigans. This happy couple had opted for micro wedding party (just Meg’s sis and Sam’s bro), so morning proceedings were super relaxed. Their lovely cockerpoo ‘Treacle’ (who’d I’d had the pleasure of meeting on our pre-wedding catchup) was there with the boys being gorgeous, but didn’t get an invite to the wedding!
It was one of those weddings where I got swept up in the feels a good few times – when dad first saw his daughter as a bride, when the groom teared up looking down the aisle, when the bride and groom eloquently declared their love for one other during the speeches – it was hard to hold back my own tears (which is why I love this job!)
They’re just a lovely pair, who love to be with each other and love to travel! They’re a young couple and reading their wedding breakfast table names they’ve already seen half the world. They put so much effort into making this the perfect day for their friends (including the groom making their very own wedding mini golf course!) and they did the perfect thing – just relaxed and let it happen… which is easier said than done! But the stunning hotel and green and pleasant backgrounds of Sandburn Hall made it all so lovely!
This wedding venue’s centerpiece oak-beamed ‘Grand Hall’ is a breath-taking backdrop for ceremony, meal and party!
I had such fun joining these guys and want to fire round high 5’s to the newlyweds and their lovely family for making me feel so welcome and to the Sandburn team run by Laura and Molly for such a seamless day.
