Teepee, Papakata and Pole Marquee weddings

An experienced Yorkshire Teepee, Pole Marquee + Papakata tipi wedding photographer!

I do love a tipi wedding! They’ve really taken the wedding industry by storm over the past decade, offering couples a really unique event space in which to celebrate their weddings!

Papakata pioneered the nordic marquee wedding with amazing pole marquees – with their unusually-shaped, conically conjoining areas, with firepits and reindeer covered benches making the vibes really cosy inside.

Some of the more intimate venues I regularly shoot at, such as at weddings at The Star Inn At Harome, the venue often suggests couples use a papakata tip as an overflow for the evening reception.

They’ve since innovated further with beautiful, airy Sperry Tents that the sides lift up on, which I’ve often seen on the lawn while doing wedding photography at Saltmarshe Hall in East Yorkshire.

I’ve also shot a good few weddings with local companies like Wills Marquees, a family business run by the lovely Chris and Lynsey. You can see their fab pole marquee tents in Camilla + Will & Sophie + John’s weddings

Somehow, the atmosphere of weddings in these kind of marquees ends up with a lovely festival-like feel, especially during the evening when guests are hanging out on hay bales drinking ale from barrels!
