A little while back, I made another visit to one of my fave wedding venues in Leeds, the lovely Woodlands hotel…
For the civil union of these two fine fellows, Matt & Nigel!
We’d done the pre-wed shoot at Woodlands a few weeks prior (check it out here) & they were totally relaxed in front of my camera.
It was possibly the smallest ceremony I’ve ever been to, with a total of 14 guests. Which was actually really cool, not only cos they were all such fun, but because there was loads of time to get great shots of everyone. Gay ceremony’s are also cool because the couple often spend the morning helping each other get ready. It’s really nice, and helps dissipate the nerves. Here’s everyone having a drink before going into the Brooklands ceremony room.
While they were chatting to the ceremony officiator, I took this shot of their rings. 
They came in together too, which was nice.
That’s a great connection if ever I caught one.
A few tears were dropped all round.

The weather had been on & off all day, and as soon as the ceremony ended, the sun came out; staying out for the rest of the day!

Jill Ryder, Yorkshire’s answer to Eva Cassidy, was playing some lovely covers during the ceremony & on the terrace. Jill’s a total star and it was her birthday that day, so we sang happy birthday to her!

It was lots of fun joining Matt & Nigel for their big day. It was such an intimate & joyous occasion and I really enjoyed being involved!
