Yesterday I joined Charlie & Nick to photograph their beautiful wedding day at Middleton Lodge near Richmond in North Yorkshire!
While Hamish headed off to join the chaps, I crossed the Dales to catch up with team bride at Middleton Lodge, in Middleton Tyas near Richmond.
The stage was touch and go for an outdoor ceremony on the lawn…
And up in the beautiful Oak Room Charlie and the girls were being pampered and generally enjoying a relaxing morning…
The backless Angelina Fazenda gown was a stunning piece of work
Serendipity Floral Designs supplied the soft pastel flora studded throughout the day, matching beautifully with the pastel pink bridesmaids dresses…
Meanwhile, my wingman Hamish headed over to Darlington to join the chaps in Great Burdon
Where Nick had been busy dressing up his pride and joy, his Fiat Coupe!
After a few teamshot lineups…
Hamish spotted the goalposts in the garden and decided to do a football line…
…deftly punched away by the groom!
Then the dudes hit the road… some faster than others!
Over at Middleton Lodge, guests were arriving and button holes were going on and due to sporadic drizzle, the stage had been set for an indoor ceremony…
Upstairs Charlie was gowning up
Love this one
Nick sent over a sweet card and a stunning Tiffany necklace
A little relaxed shot of the completed bridal party!
I can’t work out which of these two images I like most!
So I’ve included both!
A little moment with Dad before heading down to the ceremony
Then it was outside for a blast of confetti!
Always nice getting two angles on this moment!
Then it was time for mingles, Pimm’s and canapés
After a few family lineups…
I like to have a bit of a laugh with the wedding party.
Oh dear
😉
Then I kept Nick & Charlie for a few relaxed portraits around the grounds of Middleton Lodge
We’d done a lovely pre-wedding meet in Roundhay Park in Leeds last week, so they knew what I was after
[ Check out their pre-wedding practice shoot here ]
Then it was down to the marquee for the wedding meal
Speeches were all brilliant!
Including a bit of love from the big sister
After a little chill, it was time to cut the cake by Creative Icing
And hit the dancefloor to bust our the first dance routine!
Then the Aaron Bayley Band took to the floor to rock the evening’s entertainment, and to blow the sound limiter several times!
Fun times all round. I do enjoy a good Middleton Lodge wedding.
Here’s wishing the lovely Charlie & Nick many congratulations, a very happy life together and an ace honeymoon road trip up the USA’s West Coast!
