Last week I joined Emma & Luke for their wedding photos at Priory Barn & Cottages in Syningthwiate, one of my long-standing favourite Yorkshire wedding venues, on a working farm near Wetherby in Yorkshire!

This young couple met on Snapchat and were engaged within 6months! When you know you know!
A few months self-taught bridal power tool DIY sign making later, all of a sudden it’s the wedding day! And what a lovely day it was too! Team bride kicked off at hair and makeup at 5.15am to have everyone’s hair and makeup done to schedule, and I dipped between them and Team Groom (in cottages on opposite sides of the courtyard) until their civil ceremony, upstairs in the converted barn.
Once nuptials were signed and sealed, the couple were showered from above (in the signature Priory Barn Balcony confetti shot), before spilling out onto the sunny terrace for congratulations, fizz and delicious Taste Cuisine nibbles!
A fun set of speeches and a delicious roast dinner later, it was time to cut the cake, and not a fan of a first dance, the DJ dropped Black Eyed Peas ‘I’ve Got A Feeling’ and everyone piled on the dance floor en mass!
We left through a sparkler tunnel to a final few wheat field portraits, as the golden sun literally dropped beneath the horizon, and I left the gang to party on!
What a day! Congratulations to the new Mr + Mrs Watts!

I love shooting weddings in Yorkshire and even more so at Priory Cottages! And as ever the day was amazingly run by the lovely Kat and all the fab suppliers mentioned at the end…
