Last Friday I joined Helen + Tom for their wedding photography at The Pheasant Hotel in Harome near Helmsley in North Yorkshire! Yet another of the pandemic’s perfectly intimate ‘micro-weddings’!
The Pheasant in Harome: an enchanting venue for intimate, bespoke weddings nestled in the picturesque, foodie village of Harome
Helen + Tom met working for the North York Moors National Park team, and clearly have a shared love for the outdoors (so much so that Tom took a casual 20mile bike ride into it on the wedding morning!). Before their ceremony at a unique local chapel in Rydale, I joined Helen at her family home, supported by their pooch Dexter, their parents army of dogs, ponies, horses, donkeys and chickens! They even had surprise musical accompaniment from some pals who secretly set up outside the window where Helen was getting ready! Meanwhile, my wingwoman Gabrielle joined Tom and his best man Foggy at The Pheasant in Harome, where the afternoon shenanigans would later be hosted. A brilliant ceremony by a charming vicar and a canon blast of confetti later, and we headed over the sunny North York Moors to Harome near Helmsley, for champagne and delicious nibbles! A few fun portraits and group shots, a zoom hook in or two with guests who couldn’t make it, and a game of tig between the bride and the kids, and it was time to settle down for hilarious, touching speeches. And as there was no dancing allowed, we let them cutting their beautiful cake before hitting the road!
You couldn’t really ask for more from a relaxed, intimate wedding in Yorkshire, and it’s always a pleasure shooting at The Pheasant Hotel! So I hope you enjoy the video of their highlights below…
