On Sunday I joined Rebecca + Liam for their winter wedding photos at The Grand Hotel in York! Yet another postponed wedding coming to fruition! This time in an atmospheric, misty York City Centre…

The Grand Hotel: York’s only five-star hotel and luxury wedding venue with stunning original Edwardian features

I’ve not photographed at The Grand Hotel before, a grand statement building built by North Eastern Railways in their heyday, and it’s a fab place with amazing bedrooms, bars and ball rooms in which to host a special day! Becky + Liam organised a fab day all round, and she looked gorgeous in her Pronovias dress and he in his family tartan kilt! I do love gents Scottish dress suits! After a beautiful ceremony in the board room, we threw a tonne of snowy confetti and headed for a stomp up to the minster and back, before settling down for a delicious meal and hilarious speeches. Winter sparklers kicked off the evening proceedings, before cutting the beautiful cake and getting stuck into the dancefloor with an awesome band. Great to see everyone (including most notably, the mother of the groom!) getting stuck in to the party!

Always lovely to be part of such a special Yorkshire Wedding!
