Yesterday I joined Hannah & Robin to photograph their beautiful, sun-filled summer wedding at Rudding Park, between Harrogate & Knaresborough in Yorkshire.
While Hamish joined the guys to photograph their side of the morning preps, I headed over to join the girls for their relaxed morning in the sunshine at Rudding Park
The stunning ‘Nicola Anne’ dress was hanging ready in wait
The stunning flora throughout the day was by Rudding Park’s own Colette
Meanwhile, over in Crigglestone, the chaps were dressing the Land Rover.
Sadly, Robin’s pride and joy Landy, “Margaret”, chose the day before the wedding to die, half way to Rudding Park, carrying the wedding cake!
Top timing!
Then the chaps headed over to Rudding to help set up & greet guests for the wedding in the Radcliffe Room
At the other end of the hotel, it was time to get Hannah into the gown!
I like this little moment, where Hannah met her dad outside for a quiet moment, as I papped from behind the bushes.
One bridal party, ready to roll!
Absolutely stunning!
As it was such a lovely day, the gang decided to walk down the side of the hotel, creating quiet the stir as they passed the lunch diners!
A nice little moment between Hannah, Robin and Chloe
After a quick full teamshot, it was time for arguably my favourite photo of the day…
The confetti BOMB!
I love doing these as you never quite know how they’re gonna turn out!
Then as guests made their way over to the terrace, we whistled through the family lineups
And had a bit of fun with the wedding party!
Then it was time for lawn games, pimms and canapés in the sunshine
It was an absolute pleasure to catch up & have a laugh with two former wedding couples, Jo & Stephen & Claire & Steven, who are no longer just couples!
It seems I’m working through photographing all their pals weddings!
😉
After a nice long mingle, I took our happy couple off into the green for a few relaxed portraits…
I love this little moment. Â Sometimes couples are so conscious of what I’m doing and can’t loosen up, but these guys just took a moment to soak in the fact that they were now married and had a lovely little cuddle and cheeky boo!
Then it was time for the wedding meal, beautifully dressed with all sorts of lovely touches by Hannah, including a table plan named after herbs
All three speeches were lovely
Then it was time for evening chilling as the sun set
and a few more matey teamshots!
And not only a switch to more comfortable footwear, but another round of the lowest lean competition!
Long story…
Ham & I set up our fun photobooth for a bit of evening craziness!
Always nice to have an up for it crowd!
Love this silly pair
Surreal scene much?
The moustache was a nice touch!
Then it was time to cut the cake and get cracking with the evening’s dancing!
Aww
What a lovely pair!
Here’s a massive congratulations to Hannah & Robin (and a huge high 5 to all the lovely guests I’m starting to actually get to recognise!)
Here’s wishing you guys a wonderful life together.
All the very best indeed,
Barnaby & Hamish
