Yesterday I joined this lovely pair, Pippa + George, to capture their wedding photos at Goldsborough Hall, a fab stately home wedding venue between Harrogate & Knaresborough in Yorkshire.
Goldsborough Hall: A 16th-century private, exclusive use wedding venue with Royal Connections in the picturesque North Yorkshire countryside
Now this wedding has been a long time coming with p-word postponement, but is all the more significant to me as their original wedding date was around the time my son was due, and now little Lenny is a walking, talking little 16month old! So it just goes to mark how long these guys have had to wait!
Thankfully, the wait was worth it! A planner extraordinare, Pip considered every detail and it all fell into place like a charm! During the morning I bounced between the girls relaxed bucks fizz preparations at her family home in Horsforth in Leeds, to Goldsborough Hall to join the chaps for gift giving and finishing touches, then slipped upstairs to see her get into her beautiful Maggie Sotero dress in the Byerly Suite. The ceremony was over at St Mary The Virgin (connected to Goldsborough by a secret gate!) and was conducted by a hilarious Scottish Vicar called Gary, with songs performed by their musical pals Riley & Pippa. Afterward, we headed back to the Hall for confetti, photos, mingles, croquet, fizz and clever, delicate canapes! While occasionally ominous, the weather held off until after the delicious lamb dinner in the orangery and we even got to skip about in some golden hour sunshine! Speeches were delivered with wit and smarts, and after cutting the cheese tower, it was time to dance. The brilliant Blue Lion Band even let another musical groomsman finish the first set with a few songs of his own, before we took the gang outside for a bit of fun with sparklers! Not a bad day at all!
Goldsborough Hall is one of Yorkshire’s finest wedding venue, with luxury accommodation, royal connections and stunning gardens (with an ace giant Union Jack mowed into one of its lawns)! It’s still lived in by its fab owners, Clare and Mark Oglesby (and their lovely dogs), and they’ve done wonders with it in recent years, creating a smart orangery wedding breakfast space by a croquet lawn and a beautiful Glasshouse and kitchen garden!
So, grab y’sen a mug of Yorkshire tea (or a glass of fizz!) and hit play on the slideshow below to check out their wedding highlights slideshow…

I don’t think you could ask for a more perfect day, hey?!
I do love a wedding at Goldsborough Hall! It’s one of the perfect spots for a classy but relaxed wedding in North Yorkshire!
So here’s wishing Pippa & George a very happy married life together!!
