A little while back I joined Deborah & Dan for their pre-wedding shoot up in Nidderdale for their pre-wedding shoot ahead of their wedding at Wood Hall soon
It was a drizzly ol’ day when I joined them up in Blubberhouses, but we met at the amazing Mackenzie’s Smokehouse for a bite before heading out for pics
After catching up, we decided to do the practice pics around Fewston and Swinsty Reservoir
I do like this part of the dales.
This was pretty much the view from the car park we parked at near Fewston! Not a bad place to start eh!
And upon this mad blown over pine, we started the shoot!
Crazy place eh?! Love the lines.
Most people find the portrait shoot a strange experience, but I like to show couples what it feels like to be photographed.
Essentially, it’s just a case of find somewhere nice to cuddle and get close, then I stalk around looking for nice ways to present it.
The guys were great actually; lovely together and with a wicked sense of humour!
When we set out towards the reservoir, it started to rain pretty bad!
But we had a brolly, so all was well!

I really like the way the brollie is kinda glowing because my lens was so wet! 😉
