On the weekend I joined Anna & Stevan for their tradition and music filled wedding at the Serbian Orthodox Church of Holy Trinity in Bradford! And what a celebration it was too – with folk music, Serbian ‘Kolo’ circle dancing, lashings of rakija (Serbian spirit!), flower girls auctioning off the bride’s shoe and a rendition of swan lake (of sorts!) for a first dance!
As the newly-weds had flown over from Singapore for the wedding in Bradford, they decided they wanted to do some glamorous wedding photos at Allerton Castle in Allerton Park!
Allerton Park is the dream of all dreams when it comes to a Yorkshire wedding castle venue!
Somehow this Grade I listed nineteenth-century Victorian Gothic Stately Home – nestled between Harrogate and Knaresborough in North Yorkshire – has alluded me over my career! So it was super exciting to visit for a leisurely round of portrait…

So on Monday morning, wit voices still horse from all the singing I joined Anna & Stevan, the grooms parents and Anna’s ‘mamma Yang’, and we took a turn round this incredible stately stack…
And it was all I’d hoped!

Isn’t this hall to die for?! It’s the cathedral of halls!
It was also fab to see all the parents again, and I couldn’t resist a little regal team shot!
The Singapore peace sign is like a reflex!
I felt like a kid in a candy shop playing in front of this epic space!
We ended in the master bedroom, where even the four posted bed was cathedral-like!
An amazing place! I do love shooting weddings in Yorkshire and discovering stunning venues like this!
