Yesterday I joined Kristina & Dan for their brilliant sun-washed wedding at Priory Cottages in Syningthwaite!

I joined Kristina & Team Bride at Mum’s house in Harrogate, where they were having lots of fun getting themselves ready to party

The Justin Alexander gown was simply stunning.

A little later, we were joined by a whole host of brilliant little flower girls!

My 2nd shooter at this wedding was my good buddy John Hope – whisky expert, funk & soul music collector & all round top photographer!

While I was photographing the girls, I sent John to document the chaps side of the proceedings at Dan’s parents house on his grandparents farm in Harrogate

Love this one of Dan & the chaps getting their ties on

Team Groom ASSEMBLED!

The ceremony was round the corner at St Andrew’s Church in Starbeck, and while the chaps checked everything was ship shape there…

…Kristina was gowning up!

Krtistina’s brother was giving her away and a few little tears were shed when he saw her ready to play. They clearly have a special relationship!

Awww

A few relaxed teamshots outside in the sun before heading for the church

Brilliant flora by Carol’s Florist in Harrogate

I loved that a whole bunch of mum’s elderly neighbours had all gathered to see Kristina come out

This church’s Kenyan vicar was an absolute LEGEND! So much fun

Love this shot John caught from the back of the church shot through some purple and blue flowers!

And with the official proceedings over, here they come back down the aisle as man & wife!

I love shooting at Priory Cottages, especially when the sun’s out like this. It’s such a wonderfully tranquil place, away from any roads (so kids can pretty much roam free!) and there are so many brilliant spots to photograph a couple while guests enjoy the sun on the terrace.

While John papped guests arriving & enjoying a glass of Pimms, we dived straight into a quick round of relaxed portraits

I love this little archway on the ancient Priory building in the grounds! A perfect spot in the shade for portraits.

How good do these two look!?
Stunning!
That’s how good.

Then it was back to the party to enjoy drinks in the sun, with live orchestral sounds wafting out across the crowd!

Kristina wanted to do a heart-shaped teamshot around the pond, so with a bit of pushing and pulling by John on the ground, we got this! Ace eh?

Then we powered through the family & wedding party groupshots

The wedding breakfast room looked spot on, with tables named after Las Vegas hotels!

Speeches were brilliant fun!

After a the meal and a few relaxed pal shots, John & I took Kristina & Dan out into the evening sunshine for another little round of pics

Priory Cottages is on the edge of a working farm, so there are often really interesting backgrounds to photograph against, such as these towers of wooden pallets

The evening sunshine was perfect for a little stroll down the lane

John & I got a little excited about the amazing light!

Even added a bit of kick with the flash to these pics in the tall grass!

Love this last one on the right. After we’d finished the shoot and done a round of High 5’s for such top team work all round, without even prompting, Kristina & Dan did a quick practice of their first dance in the evening sun. Just beautiful.

After the official cutting of the cake (by Creative Icing in Selby)…

We got guests involved on our fun PhotoBooth!

It was a surprise from Dan to Kristina!

It’s always fun seeing what appears, especially with the horse head!

Then it was time for the first dance!

Followed by partying the night away to the City Lights function band

Thank you Kristina & Dan for asking us to join your big day and for making us at home and being such a splendidly game couple! Your wedding was awesome. Here’s hoping you have a fab minimoon in Europe ahead of your honeymoon in St. Lucia later this year!
Party on!
